日本の法律では、猫や犬はモノ扱いです。また、ペットショップでは生体販売が許されています。こういった背景によって、残念ながら、日本では多くの猫が殺処分されている現実があります。

この現状を変えるべく、数多くの人々・団体が、殺処分や劣悪な環境下から猫を救い出し、新しい里親を見つける活動をしています。

そして、里親さんと”悲しい境遇の猫”が出会う場として、猫カフェを運営するケースが増えています。そして、これらは、多大なボランティア活動で成り立っているケースも多いのです。

だからこそ、もしも、日本への旅行で、猫カフェを訪れたいな、と思ったら
このような猫カフェに行くことで、保護活動を支援してほしいと考えています。
